Latest Indian Bridal Trends

Post wedding season of 2012, here are some of the latest bridal trends..
In terms of colors, purple and violets were hot this season. For the bridal dress, traditional sarees and lehengas remained on top. Bridal Lehengas - the saree type ones, not the fish cut ones were in demand. For bridal hair-styles, it was mainly curls, buns and puffed-up straight hair look. Flower hair pieces made with orchids were also hot this season. For make-up, it was the minimalistic, natural look. People preferred the sober look to the made-up look. For wedding jewellery, it was very traditional. Although there were a lot of modern wedding jewellery options being offered at some of the leading Indian wedding jewellers like Tribhuvandas Bheemji Zaveri (TBZ) and Tanishq, most brides preferred to go the traditional way. I think traditional jewellery looks much better than modern jewellery on brides. There are plenty of chances later to go with modern jewellery - birthdays, anniversaries, parties etc. but for the wedding its better to stick to traditions. Here are some of my favourite bridal looks last wedding season.

The style for the third saree is called "Brasso" it has a faint design on it over a bold color. The fourth saree is a typical Maharashtrian Paithani saree with zari border.
